Is it safe for my child to learn swimming in a group?
SAFETY OF THE SWIMMERS IS ALWAYS OUR TOP PRIORITY. WE NEVER COMPROMISE ON THE IMPORTANCE OF SAFETY. ALL ACTIVIES THAT ARE CARRIED OUT ARE REQUIRED TO GO THROUGH RISK ASSESSMENT ON ALL IMPORTANT ASPECTS SUCH AS THE SUITABILITY OF THE AREA & CAPABILITY OF THE SWIMMERS.
All our coaches who go through the WAHOO Teacher Training Program practice the “Eye on Swimmers” concept of conducting the swimming class. All swimmers are always in front of the coach so that the swimmers are always under the observation of the coach.
Are all WAHOO swim teachers qualified?
All our senior coaches are ex/current state and national swimmer. All of our WAHOO Swimming coaches are required to attain a nationally recognised life saving certificate from Life Saving Society Malaysia (LSSM) and SwimAmercia™ Coaching Qualification. In addition, they are required to go through 3-6 months of intensive WAHOO Internal Teacher training before they are able to lead a swim session on their own. The WAHOO Teacher Training System ensures new teachers undergo 120+ hours of training, including class observation, theoretical evaluation and supervised teaching before they get to teach their own classes.
